Dydd Miwsig Cymru (Welsh Music Day)!

On Friday 8th February 2019, our class celebrated Dydd Miwsig Cymru (Welsh Music Day) by learning lots and lots and lots of different Welsh songs by some Welsh singers and some English singers too! In the morning before play, we learnt songs by Welsh singers, from bands called Swnami and Candelas. Then after play we had to write about the two of the bands. In the afternoon, we did the same thing but with ones that sing in English, such as Tom Jones and Catotonia. 🎹🎶🎸🎤🎧🎵♩

Mock Baptism

On Thursday year 5/6 went to the church to have a mock baptism. I wore a blue sparkly dress with gold glittery ballerina shoes and a gold bracelet. When we arrived at the church Revrin Jane walked us into the church and she gave us a booklet with all the lines and songs also we had to sit down and find a seat then all the parents and god parents had to stand at the front and say their lines. After the Baptism was over there was a table filled with cakes, biscuits and crisps and much more and then it was time to go back to school ready for home time.

Also we had grandparents, parents, god parents and friends. The god parents were Corey, Zak, Ffion and Charlotte and the parents were Ben and Lacey. At the end of the service we had refreshments and the reverend taught us about holy water and oil.
