Mock Baptism

On Friday 15th February 5/6 went to St John’s Church to attend a mock baptism with Lebron Stevens being baptised (plastic baby). We went through the whole process and I was a godparent! My role as a godparent was to pray for the baby and if the parents passed away I would look after the baby. We had to say lines and prayers.

Robot dancing!

In PE this term we have been doing robot dancing in 2’s 3’s or fours. Me and my group (Gabriel, Corey, Liam and I) did it in a four as you can see in picture. We did various robot combinations and dances. We also made masks to wear during the dance. We painted them and stuck jewels on to make it look better. Some people created the same masks but me and my group made different masks. It took several weeks to learn how to get the movements right and what kind of dances you can and cannot do. Also we performed it in front of the class. We also practised with Mrs Skinner and even watched a video! It was fun over the several weeks we did it and I enjoyed it!

Sony Factory Bridgend

This term year 5 and 6 went on a trip to Sony because of our topic ‘Tomorrow’s World’ and learned lots of new things. We saw a factfile and information about Sony and we also looked at how they make cameras for TV’S. They also showed us some broadcasting equipment. Some of the cameras they made were used in the 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP. It took 45 minutes to get there and 45 minutes back. It was a fun experience and we learned lots of interesting facts! 🎥📹📽📺

Pontardawe Football Festival

Rhos Primary School attended a football tournament in Pontardawe this term and got through to the quarter finals!

We were really excited for it! The tournament lasted from 9:15AM until approx 3:00PM. It was a 6 aside tournament with 2 substitutes. The position I played was midfield. We had a certificate each and the school was given £25.00 to spend on football equipment! ⚽⚽

Our criw cymraeg trip

This term Criw Cymraeg went on a special trip to Bae Baglan primary school to watch a singer perform Welsh songs. We also had to sing the Welsh National anthem really loudly so Mr urdd would come in. We joined in with the songs and had fun! Some of the songs were popular ones by artists such as Ed Sheeran .We learnt new Welsh phrases and words and even joined in with some Welsh songs! I really enjoyed it! Roedd hi’n gret!!
