Today we performed a robot dance and Mrs Cooper recorded what we did. We had  to make a mask first. I put on my mask a star with rainbow colours and jewels and I danced with my friends Zak, Liam and  Gabriel.

On Thursday, the thirteenth of December, the choir of Rhos Primary went to sing Christmas carols at Tesco, they sang lots of songs like Frosty the Snowman and  Twelve Days of Christmas. I was drumming in most pieces but some songs were too high for the drums and therefore I didn’t play. It was also really cold and some of the members of the brass band were disappointed because their trumpets were not able to play in these conditions. This was unfortunate.

In PE Zak, Corey, Gabriel and me practised robot dancing with Mrs skinner and we thought of some moves. We put them together and we created a dance for which we had created masks with paints and sharpies. Also we used jewels to make it look better. Some people dis the same mask for their group but we did different masks. It took several weeks to do this but I enjoyed it!

Today we are recording our robot dance we have been working very hard to practice! A big thank you to Mrs Skinner our PPA teacher on a Wednesday. We have all made a robot mask after designing it on paper first. We were all confident to do our robot dance infront of the class. I think everyone really liked performing infront of the class. Creating theses masks was really fun. Diolch Mrs Skinner and Mrs Cooper!!!!!

In PE this term we have been doing robot dancing in 2’s 3’s or fours. Me and my group (Gabriel, Corey, Liam and I) did it in a four as you can see in picture. We did various robot combinations and dances. We also made masks to wear during the dance. We painted them and stuck jewels on to make it look better. Some people created the same masks but me and my group made different masks. It took several weeks to learn how to get the movements right and what kind of dances you can and cannot do. Also we performed it in front of the class. We also practised with Mrs Skinner and even watched a video! It was fun over the several weeks we did it and I enjoyed it!

Today we were innovating a Nadolig poem I enjoyed this activity, here’s mine: 🎅👼🎄🎁

Coch a brown yw’r sled ac carw yn y awyr

Aur yw’r cracer ar y bwrdd

Gwydd yw’r torch Nadolig ar y drws

Melyn yw’r anrhegion dan y goeden.

Coch a gwyrdd yw’r hosan ar y lle tan

Arian yw’r tinsel ar y pren

Blasus yw’r mins peis yn y popty

Awr yw’r seren ar y coeden Nadolig.

This term year 5 and 6 went on a trip to Sony because of our topic ‘Tomorrow’s World’ and learned lots of new things. We saw a factfile and information about Sony and we also looked at how they make cameras for TV’S. They also showed us some broadcasting equipment. Some of the cameras they made were used in the 2018 FIFA WORLD CUP. It took 45 minutes to get there and 45 minutes back. It was a fun experience and we learned lots of interesting facts! 🎥📹📽📺

I’m really proud of the Criw Cymraeg for their excellent singing at the recent Bronwen gig! Ardderchog! It was great to see Mr Urdd at the party too! 😀

On September 28th Rhos Primary School did a sponsored fun run around the yard. Altogether so far yr 5/6 has made 197 pounds! Altogether I’m guessing they did 400 laps!🏃🏃🏃🏃

This term we went for a visit to Cwmtawe! The year 10’s who took GCSE PE helped out. My group were the first ones to do rugby. I really enjoyed playing rugby. We played a game where there was one person in a coned area on each team and the goal was to throw the rugby ball to the person in the coned area and then score a goal. We also did several different activities. In my opinion I thought that rugby was the best out of all the activities. We had lots of happiness just year 5 and 6. There were also other schools there. Overall we enjoyed the whole afternoon!  🏈
