Robot dancing

Today all of our class had to do our robot dances that we made up on Wednesday with Mrs Skinner and we had to perform our robot dance to the class while Mrs Cooper recorded us. I performed my robot dance with Logan and Tyler. Also we had to wear are robot masks which we made a couple of days ago to make it look like we were real robots.

Christmas concert!

From Monday 10th December to Wednesday 12th December, the juniors of Rhos Primary School (which incudes years 5 and 6) performed a Christmas concert based in the town of Bethlehem and on Jesus’ birth. The concert included 3 main characters, Mary, Joseph and Ben, The Busker. They all had to sing solos and had a total of 13 lines each! Including some big paragraphs that consisted of 7 lines in them!

I had the part of Ben (the Busker) which was the main part! I wanted to be this part because my own name is Ben!!!

The story was about a man who used to be rich but wasn’t any more, called Caesar, who decreed a census to be taken everywhere in the Roman Empire to get tax out of them. For this to happen, everyone had to go to Bethlehem to be rounded up and have tax taken out of them. But after the Roman soldiers had left, Mary had her baby at last, and was told by an angel called Gabriel to call the baby Jesus and he received gifts from three wise men and was also worshiped by three shepherds.

Today we had to perform our robot dance in front of the class and we had to practice in the library and I was doing my robot dance with Logan and Tyler also a couple of days ago we had to make robots masks so we could wear them for our robot dance.

Creating our robot masks

Last week we made our robot masks for us to wear during our robot dances. I was partnered with my friend Ruby so we had similar masks.  First me and Ruby both painted the left side of our masks black and the other side white. Then we both drew gold spots with a gold sharpie. After that we put silver, blue and pink gems around the mask. Finally, we Wore our masks and enjoyed performing our robot dance!!

My robot dancing partner was Noah and me and Noah enjoyed doing our dance. We hope the rest of the class liked our  robot dance too!  On friday  we made robot masks and mine was red and black.
