Extreme Reading Challenge!

Dear Parents,

Where is the most extreme place that your child has ever read a book? Whether it is up a tree, on top of a mountain or stood on their head, we want your photos! Your World Book Day challenge is to take a picture of your child reading somewhere extreme and send it in to school by Thursday, March 2nd 2017. We are organising this competition as part of Rhos Primary’s celebration of World Book Day. There will be a prize for the most extreme/unusual place, reading has taken place.

Obviously, we encourage our pupils to keep safe (we wouldn’t recommend reading in the jaws of a crocodile!) but we are really looking forward to seeing who in school has such a passion for reading that they have to do it anywhere and everywhere!

A display will also be made from the photos. To help us with the display please bring in a 5’ x 7’ size photo or tweet your photo to @RhosPrimary

If you would like to set up a Twitter account but don’t know how, please refer to our ‘how to support your child’ page for a setup instructions

Many thanks and happy reading,

J2Blast challenge!!!

Calling all children…can you top the leader board?

The challenge has been set to all children in Rhos Primary to battle for the top spot using the new feature package on HWB, J2Blast.

This is a game that will test your multiplication and division skills in a range of different levels.

Log into your HWB space and click J2e. You will then see a new icon called J2Blast. Click on the new game and start practising, choosing an appropriate level. View the leader board to see how you are doing against your classmates and the school.

Have fun!
