Neath Port Talbot Catering Services provide one million school meals a year. Our menus are carefully planned to meet the Welsh Nutritional Guidelines for school lunches by our catering managers, food advisers and saffron nutritional analysis system.
It is our aim to ensure that all pupils can be provided with a healthy, nutritious meal and vegetarians and any special diet requests are catered for.
There is a hot main meal choice including a vegetarian option available daily plus a selection of vegetables, seasonal salads, a pasta option and wholemeal bread. There is also a daily main pudding with an additional option of fruit bowl choice. A daily selection of chilled milk or water are available.
From September 2023 all pupils from Reception to Year 6 will be entitled to free school meals. This is a Welsh Government directive and is a part of a rolling programme that aims to provide free school meals to all primary school pupils in Wales.
